The TikTok user known as “Dongcheshijie” took to the social media site to reveal all to her 2.2million followers.

She started by telling viewers that “our cars have these hidden features” adding “many people have driven cars for 20 years and don’t know about them”.

She then opens the glove box on the passenger side and adjusts the rotary switch in the top of the compartment.

The expert, who refers to herself as “sister”, said that if you turn it clockwise to the “snowflake position” the glove box then has a “refrigerator cooling effect” which can keep your drinks nicely chilled.

The motoring whizz also said the height of a seat belt can be adjusted according to the height of the driver.

‘Dongcheshijie’ then unfastens a clip and slides the whole seat belt up and down.

She also showed how the sun visor cannot only block the sunlight from the front but it can also do it from the side.

Here she unclips one side of the visor and swivels it round to the side window.

Another tip she reveals is flipping the small switch under the steering wheel.

This allows the driver to adjust the steering wheel either higher or lower or bring it closer or move it further away.

In the last bit of advice, she shows how to adjust the bonnet so it aligns smoothly with the side panel of the car.

If you open the bonnet, underneath there are black rubber blocks.

By turning it counter-clockwise it increases the gap.

Similarly, turning it clockwise it reduces the gap.

The clip has proved to be very popular, notching up some 64,000 views and more than 5,100 likes as well as dozens of comments.

Many commentators went online to thank her for the advice, with one summing up many people’s feelings by writing: “Thank you, sister.”

Another wrote: “Sister, ur the best.”

Others though wondered if all the gadgets featured were built into all cars, or just some.

One person said: “Thank you so much for sharing. But do all cars have a freezer, and the button to close the gap etc?”

Someone else posted: “Sister, my car hasn’t got these features. My car’s too old.”

A third added: “Sister, not all cars have these features, maybe in Japan, but not here in the USA.”

Last month, a motoring expert revealed their top five tips on how to avoid a road rage clash.

Another driving expert has also explained why you should never touch a “secret” button in your vehicle.
