Travellers have arrived on the car park of Marks and Spencer in Gemini.
Around six caravans and associated towing vehicles were reported on the privately-owned site this morning, Sunday.
It comes after an unauthorised traveller encampment was established near a nursery in Padgate.
According to Cheshire West and Chester Council, two caravans arrived at the site of Evolution Child Care, off Orange Grove on Thursday.
The latest information available suggests that two caravans were sited outside the Jolly Falstaff pub, as well as two caravans outside Evolution Child Care.
However, when the scene was attended by the Warrington Guardian there were only two caravans on the site.
A section 77 notice was served giving the group until 5pm yesterday, Saturday, to vacate the site.
This is the latest in a number of unauthorised encampments in Warrington, with pressure mounting on Warrington Borough Council to create a traveller transit site for caravans to pitch up at.
The council set aside £2million to invest in a transit site as early as 2015.
When asked by the Warrington Guardian about updates regarding a transit site, a council spokesperson said: “We are fully committed to the delivery of a suitable transit site within the town and recognise the benefits for both the travelling community and our residents.
“We are continuing to work with our partners to identify a suitable traveller transit site in the borough.”
