Eamonn Holmes flooded with support from fans after using mobility scooter on day out

Eamonn Holmes enjoyed a sunny day out at Goodwood Festival of Speed as he shared a snap in a mobility scooter.

The GB News presenter, 63, uploaded a photo where he was holding an ice cream while sitting in a mobility scooter. Eamonn, who previously hosted This Morning alongside Ruth Langsford, was flooded with support by fans just days after making a health admission.

Updating his 801,000 followers, Eamonn captioned the photo: “Gorgeous Day for a Poke… and just look at Cars at Goodwood.” One fan wrote: “That ice cream is missing a flake @eamonnholmes sending love and blessings.”

Another gushed: “Looking fab Eamonn,” as a third penned: “I wish our late Queen would have been brave to be seen in public with this type of assistance. It would have helped my mum enormously to accept her limitations in order to get out and about.”

“That was me on holiday last month in USA, getting around using my mobility scooter. 13 years since my spinal fusion,” a fourth wrote.

The post comes just a day after the broadcaster revealed he was having his back stretched in a bid to combat the agonising pain. Eamonn had straps holding down his shoulders and one around his head, which he joked resembled a retro sweat band.

He captioned the snap: “I look like an 80’s Disco dancer… but actually on a rack having my neck and back stretched. Spine decompression.

This comes after Eamonn admitted that he hasn’t recovered from his spinal surgery. “I can’t run, I can’t walk, I can’t do anything except watch TV and eat,” Eamonn announced.

He added: “I just got problems last year in my back, which I haven’t recovered from. It’s not good, it’s not a good recipe I have to say.”
